Reverse osmosis system is using city water as raw water, then treat water by Pre-filter (water softener is optional), reverse osmosis membrane. It can remove particle, colloid, organic impurity, heavy metal ion, bacteria, virus in water, and it can also remove 99% dissolved salt.
The whole system desalination rate can reach 96%-99% to make permeated water conductivity<10 us/cm. Dense water also won't polluted environment. Reverse osmosis equipment no need to consider about input water quality too much. And the main features of RO equipment is no need to do any regeneration, it can be keep stable for long time.
REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEMS IN GENERAL :
Reverse osmosis systems, with the most general definition, is removal process of the anion and cation ions by an advanced filtration method which the highest technologies are used as a water treatment system. Water is forced to pass from semi-permeable membranes by applying high pressure. Water cross flows from the surface to the center of the membrane. During this transition, organic and inorganic substances, heavy metals, projects veins, bacteria etc. in the structure of the water retains by the membrane and discharges from the concentrate line. 95% to 99% Purified water can be collected to a tank through permate line. System autoflush before the production starts in order to clean the surface of the membrane.
In this type of systems, for longer and effective use of membranes, pre-filtration and dosing systems must be done correctly.

►Industrial reverse osmosis plant includes a multimedia prefilter, water softener or antiscalant dosing system(optional), dechlorination dosing system, reverse osmosis unit with semi-permeable membranes, and UV sterilizer or post chlorination as a post treatment.
►These RO machines apply the technology of reverse osmosis by transporting feed water through a multimedia prefilter to remove particles that are larger than 10-micron.
►Then the water is injected by an antiscalant chemical to control hardness fouling that may cause damage to the membranes of the RO machine. These pretreatment options have the capability of removing hardness, chlorine, odors, color, iron, and sulfur.
►The water then continues into the reverse osmosis unit where a high-pressure pump applies extreme pressure to the highly concentrated solution, separating the remaining salts, minerals, and impurities that the pre-filter cannot catch.
►Fresh, potable water comes out from the low-pressure end of the membrane while salts, minerals, and other impurities are discharged into a drain on the other end.
►Lastly, the water is passed through a UV sterilizer (or post chlorination) to kill any bacteria and microbes that still exist in the water.
Industries such as chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturing, food and beverage processing, and waste water treatment, employ ultrafiltration in order to recycle flow or add value to later products. Blood dialysis also utilizes ultrafiltration.
